Brasil: A turma do Xaxado (La banda to Xaxado) wins a new magazine


The characters of cartoonist Antonio Baiano Cedraz won a showcase on the form of a comic magazine "Xaxado and his gang" (HQM / Editora Cedraz, 36 pages, R $ 2.90 about 1.30 €). The childlike title began to be sold this week in bookstores and newsstands bd. The first two editions were published simultaneously. The stories of the band Xaxado to happen in a city in Brazil. So far, the series has been published mainly in books and collections of strips.
Formed by Brazilian real characters, the band at Xaxado arrives on newsstands with a new comics magazine, with adventures that talk of charms and Brazilian problems, but without losing sight of the universality of human experience.
's Gang Xaxado lives in a small town in the countryside, but their adventures are not limited to this space. And from time to time they are back in the common life with most fantastic creatures that inhabit the Brazilian culture as Saci, the Mula-Sem-head and Caipora or adventures with books delighted, angels, monsters and lots of action.
Xaxado and these friends have all their provisions, a cultural richness that is expressed in different ways. Of speaking, costumes, dances and music, images of everyday life, customs, food, human relations, in architecture and in the way of being.
Xaxado child is intelligent and has the spirit of adventure, Ze Pequeno is a bon vivant Marieta is a friend of the Portuguese language, Arturzinho think he is the owner of the world, Marina is one that defends the nature and CAPIB want to be a famous musician.
With his drawings and stories, Antonio Cedraz, the creator of this band has won several awards in competitions and exhibitions in Brazil and abroad, among them the revelation trophies at the 2nd National Meeting of the cartoon, which was held in Araxá (MG) In 1989, six trophies HQMix and Angelo Agostini Prize Master's comics nationally.
